Hannah is 3!?

Wait a minute. How did this happen? It seems impossible that the little bundle we brought home from the hospital is now 3 years old!?!

From 3 days...

...To 3 years...
This past year has been an exciting one and full of laughter. Hannah is an amazing kid. She loves babies and will do anything to get near one. For the most part Hannah plays with her dolls and her play kitchen though she loves to run and jump and tumble too. Playdough and art are also faves.
Hannah loves to play with her daycare friends (6 months to 4 years old). She is doing really well in her dance class. Hannah is a very observant child - she doesn't miss a thing! And she has a memory like a steel trap. Last night in the tub she said: why did you pull the ring off the plug? (the steel ring came off the plug accidentally one night when I pulled it out of the tub.) That was over a year ago. Sheesh.

Hannah enjoys a little T.V.: "Max and Ruby" and "Olivia" are her current favourites. She has not seen a movie yet though I have tried on occasion to get her to sit longer than 10 minutes.

She loves to read books. Hannah knows all of her letters and can print H and A. She loves to write with PEN and she loves to make lists.

We still struggle with sleep sometimes but it is getting better. We try to take it day by day and stay positive! We have wonderful friends who are patient listeners about our sleep-deprivation (you know who you are!).

Hannah's birthday was a hoot! We went to the Manitoba Children's Museum and had facepainting and playing and cake...it was a lot of fun and most importantly Hannah loved it!

The cake. A Ruby cake. Made by mom. We had Max's worm cakes too.

Loot bags!!

My girlie-girl...wouldn't change her at all even if I could...my wish for her is to always know that she is loved. Always.

It's Beginning to Look a Lot Like...

...I haven't updated the blog in a long long time...

Having a lot of fun this winter with our family...let me take you back....way back...to Christmas...because I have been hibernating and blogging took a back seat! So...here goes...back to the holidays...

Think turkey. Think family. Think fun. We had so much fun with Hannah this year. She loved the idea of Santa...loved giving him milk (which had to be chocolate) and cookies (homemade by little hands) but had absolutely no interest in sitting anywhere near him let alone his lap. I already have a crying picture (and video) from last year so I let it go. She did love Mrs. Claus though so we were able to get a couple of pictures at my school holiday concert (she loved signing Santa!). Santa was very good to Hannah this year. She really enjoyed her bounce back racer (which she somtimes has to wrestle away from daddy) and her jumping ball.

No, Hannah does not have a little brother. That is her very special friend, Rowan. And yes, he is a cutie! And he really likes Hannah. He was watching her during the concert and laughed so much!

Nanny and Hannah baking up a storm!

One of the sweetest memories for me was watching my mom and Hannah make cookies. My mom was not home for Christmas last year so it was really nice to see them together. They made Cherry Snowball cookies and they were beautiful and very yummy!

A tender moment with grandpa Thorlakson.

The Price and Thorlakson Christmas feast...yum. We spend Christmas Eve with Derek's family and we hosted this year. We open gifts from the family but save ours for Christmas morning.Pretty Hannah - so excited!

Pretty Hannah - so tired (and we hadn't even opened gifts yet!)

Homemade cookies for Santa, carrots for the reindeer.

The tree. Yes. We have one child.

Sleeping Beauty.

Yep. It's all gone.

Mom! Santa put Cameron (favourite doll) in a Santa suit! Silly Santa!

Daddy finding out he's going to Caliafornia for NRHA kick-off in February! Derek was so shocked...and happy!

This pictures says it all...we had lots of love and lots of fun and we are GRATEFUL for everything that we have...especially each other.

Now...onto the birthday party...which was two days after Christmas...
